AIGA Seed Awards Invitation Design

Background

AIGA (American Institute for Graphic Arts) created the SEED Awards as the first annual design competition for companies doing business in the Southeastern United States.

Challenge

On the first year of the SEED Awards, AIGA needed a formal invitation for the awards ceremony. In addition to announcing the event, AIGA also wanted to establish a design style that they could carry through the event graphics.

Solution

We created a simple design that communicated the event and could easily be translated to the event graphics. Printing the invitation using a letterpress gave the invitation the final touch of elegance.

Results

The invitation was very well accepted among members of the design community and gave the SEED Awards the elevated look that it needed. The event graphics followed the style established in the invitation and made for a great backdrop to this event.
