Synaxis and GTRI Win 2009 TAMY Award
Atlanta, GA -- May 21, 2009 -- The Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) awarded Synaxis and the Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) their Large Company Marketing Tactic Award for GTRI's Web Site.

The award was presented at TAG's Marketing Awards Breakfast held today.
GTRI worked closely with Synaxis to apply their brand strategy to their Web site through a redesign and complete content overhaul in 2008. The goals for the redesign were to better reflect the current state of GTRI and its brand as well as to position GTRI as the leader in the industry. Additionally, GTRI needed a site that would promote lead nurturing and convert qualified visitors to prospects.
Research-based messaging served as the foundation for GTRI's new Web Site. The site needed to help a poorly branded organization clean up its act—and develop solid message that emphasized GTRI's commitment to providing its customers with innovative solutions to real-world problems. This needed to be clearly communicated, not only through the graphics of the Web site, but also through the tone of the copy, site flow, usability, and functionality. Since the site was launched:
- page views are up 555%
- average visitors per day is up 409%
- more than 300 new qualified business leads have been submitted through the Web site
- it has also directly led to over $4.5 million in new research contracts for GTRI
The TAMY Awards are given annually to recognize both the emerging and large companies that demonstrate excellence in creating and executing technology marketing programs. The Marketing Tactic Award spotlights excellence in an individual marketing tactic or program, such as advertising, PR, direct mail, marketing collateral, presentation, e-marketing, interactive, website, or e-mail.
