The Georgia Tech Research Institute History site was developed for GTRI's 75th anniversary. We wanted the site to commemorate GTRI's achievements over those years as well as feature interesting web technology. We selected a slideshow motif. At the time, such slideshows were normally conducted with Flash. Instead, we implemented this in JavaScript. At the time, this was an innovative approach, and now it is a common solution, even preferred over Flash.
